Annalisa Nielsen

Before joining venture capital, she spent several years in biotechnology, serving as executive assistant to the CEO of Verge Genomics and, earlier, to the CFO of BridgeBio Pharma. Her cross‑functional background—spanning finance, R&D, and high‑growth start‑ups—gives her a unique vantage point on the companies Meritech backs.

A Bay Area native, Annalisa earned her B.S. in Media Studies from UC Berkeley. She is passionate about animal welfare, volunteering regularly at the Peninsula Humane Society.

In her free time, you’ll likely find Annalisa weight‑training, growing insanely large dahlias in her flower garden, experimenting in the kitchen, or hiking local trails with her husband and their energetic Lab–Malinois mix.
